Soil Conservation &
No-Til Farming

Soil conservation continues at Cotner Farms, Inc. today.  All acreage is still farmed using no-till methods, cover crops are planted each fall, and diversion ditches, waterways, and terraces are maintained and improved upon annually.  Employees of the farm routinely participate in soil conservation meetings and panels which provide information to legislators.

Furthermore, Cotner Farms, Inc. is developing a farm-specific Nutrient Management Plan.  The plan will be implemented in the continued effort at Cotner Farms, Inc. to promote responsible agriculture practices.
