After the eggs have been graded, they are transferred to a number of automated egg packers. The packers place eggs into either one dozen-sized cartons, 18-egg sized cartons, or into egg flats which each hold two and a half dozen eggs. Once packed into either flats or cartons, the eggs are further packaged into either 15 or 30 dozen boxes. The boxes are then placed in a refrigerated room where there are to be loaded into trucks for delivery. |
