Eggs are collected from each chicken flock daily at Cotner Farms, Inc., 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

The ages of each chicken flock differ at a uniform interval and eggs from each flock are collected separately.  Because one of the major determinants of egg quality is the age of the chicken, this collection practice eliminates the mixture of differing quality eggs.

During collection, the eggs are transported via a single conveyor (as seen above) to the egg-processing area.
